Side-emitting, multi-core fibre cables are also known as side glows or strip lights. The fibre cable is insulated in a UV-protected sheath that allows light to radiate from its side. The fibre cores are made of PMMA (PolyMethylMethAcrylate) and transmit cold light from an illuminator with no electricity or heat in the fibre cable.

A side-emitting fibre cable with 360° visibility is ideal for signage, strip lighting, and suspended lighting fixtures such as chandeliers and pendants. In addition, LightEFX's fibre optic strip lights are chlorine and saltwater resistant, making them suitable for use in and around swimming pools, spas and along paths. 

Fibre cables are supplied in 1-metre increments or can be supplied on full-length rolls for onsite cutting and processing. Alternatively, LightEFX can customise and prefabricate fibre cable lengths tailored to your specific projects.
