1952 Korean + Japanese Postcards US Military Photos in lacquer Scrapbook .
Inscription says "June 29 1952 Long Beach, Calif." Looks to be complied by a Navy sailor who served in Japan during the Korean War.
Contains 36 postcards from Japan, seem to be unused, including city scenes and a Hiroshima card showing the destruction from the Atom Bomb. 18 mini-photo cards from Japan including a topless "Pearl-fisher Girls" picture. 11 pages with photographs, mostly of Sailors on their ship, some amazing early helicopter pictures, and a few personal photos (most seem to be last couple pages and in California?), and a handful of loose pictures.
All in a beautiful lacquered scrap book with pictures of Korea and Japan on the cover.
Scrap book shows wear and scuffing normal for a 70 year old scrapbook. Postcards and mini-cards are all securely attached. Pictures mostly attached.
Ask questions. Great military or Japanese collectors item.
