Japanese Vintage Wooden Kokeshi Doll 30cm / Artist KAZUO in HANAMAKI

In old times, the people who were not able to buy the doll with a high price such as HINA doll made the doll by using the one that existed in surroundings for children.
Sparing pottery and the clay figure were made and the samurai and the merchant made the HARICO doll from the paper that failed to write in a lot of points that were.
Because the tree was the most familiar material, the kokeshi doll was made by using it in the mountain in the Tohoku region.
The girl played by carrying it on one's back with in the cloth the kokeshi doll. Kokeshi is a simple wooden doll consisting of a cylindrical body and a round head inserted into the body
and is simple Japanese folk toy. 

Condition:
         I hope buyers find the item's condition on pictures informative.

       The doll is faded and discolored obviously. There are some small scratches and stains.
