Harrap. 1916.  First Edition.16 color plates (including frontispiece) mounted on heavy stock with descriptive tissue guards. 24 black & white plates on coated stock. Grey cloth binding with black lettering and decoration. Oval  pictorial pastedown to front. Top edge gilt.  Others untrimmed. Large 4to.

 

 

Grey cloth boards have good color.  Some scattered light soiling, softening to corners.   Pictorial pastedown very good with no noticeable scratches or rubbing loss.  Spine just a touch darkened.  Externals very good+.

 

 

Internally very good +.  Hinges good. Book square. Text block very clean.  Some tissue guards with minor creasing or closed tears.  Scarce in this nice condition.

 

 

 

 

All plates present and in good order.
