This auction features incredible HAND PAINTED production art by GREG THEAKSTON. Mr. Theakston created hand-colored production art for the 1992 GREATEST 1950s STORIES EVER TOLD. Each page is colored in gorgeous watercolor, and was used as reference by the printer as a color guide when the hardcover was published. This story was originally published in ALL AMERICAN WESTERN 121 in 1951. This is PAGE 10 of that issue, corresponding to page 186 of the hardcover collection. It is fun to see classic ALEX TOTH art embellished with beautiful watercolors. Each of these official production art pieces measures 8 1/2 x 11. Many pages still have some tape residue on the top edges and even some color swatches in the margins used as reference as these were being painted. The COMPLETE STORY was purchased directly from the color artist by our gallery, and there are very few pages left. Panel pages typically sell for $40-$80 each, making these listings of our remaining inventory a true bargain for the collectors of hand-colored production art! Please message us with any questions prior to the auction's completion, and check our other listing for MORE great hand-painted PRODUCTION ART featuring art by GIL KANE, JACK KIRBY, and many others!
