A paper wall map locating the vine growing regions of Languedoc and Roussillon.
This map has a scale of approximately 1:270270
The vineyards of Languedoc and Roussillon from the from the Western bank of the Rhone to the Spanish border are all shown on this map with colouring to indicate the 32 different appellations within Languedoc and a further six in the Roussillon region. The underlying base map has bold relief shading to the area’s mountainous terrain which also shows, quite clearly, that the vineyards follow the slopes.
The different colours of the wines produced are indicated and the map includes the French departements, major towns and cities and the major road network. The legend is in French only.
