Though light weight, versatile and strong, aluminum is soft and particularly susceptible to heat making it difficult to grind without damaging the work piece or the abrasive itself. The BHA 4.5 inch grinding wheel is designed for just such as challenge, boasting a proprietary blend of aluminum oxide and silicon carbide grains which prevent loading when grinding soft metals, especially aluminum. The A/O and S/C grains can be found in high concentrations for smooth effortless use when grinding, deburring welds, or dressing. These 4-1/2" aluminum grinding discs are balanced to avoid vibration during use and feature high tensile strength fiberglass mesh layers for maximum safety. These grinding wheels for aluminum do not require high pressure when grinding further protecting the aluminum from heat created when a disc is pressed to hard on its surface. These industrial grade grinding wheels are perfect for grinding aluminum and are made to be used on all soft metals.
