Bristan SK1850-2 Removal and Installation
Before starting, please switch off hot and cold water supplies.
1. Flick the centre indice out of the temperature control handle. Then, proceed to unscrew the retaining screw youâll find once the indice is out.
2. Remove the handle assembly. (Followed by the circlip and the flow control handle.)
3. Pull the sleeve out to access the old thermostatic cartridge.
4. Use a 46mm spanner to twist the cartridge anti-clockwise to remove. Also, remove the thermostat and piston assembly and the spring.
5. Assemble the new Bristan / Sirrus SK1850-2. Apply a thin layer of silicone grease on all the O-rings of the cartridge.
6. Fit the new shower cartridge in the valve seat. Tighten in place using the 46mm spanner.
7. To restore the handles of the shower unit, please do steps 1 to 3 backward.
Note: To calibrate the new Bristan thermostatic shower cartridge, place the temperature handle on top of the splines.
â Turn it clockwise to lower the temperature.
â Turn it anti-clockwise to increase the temperature.
