40111201 Dryer Drum Belt is responsible for rotating the dryer drum. When the dryer motor is activated, it causes the drum to turn via the belt. Over time, the belt can wear down which can result in the drum no longer rotating properly. The belt features 5 ribs and 4 grooves inside to provide sturdy grip and smooth operation.
To replace the dryer drum belt remove the old belt from the drum and the motor pulley. Install the new belt around the drum, making sure that it is properly aligned with the belt groove on the drum.
The 279640 dryer idler pulley with tri-ring and gasket, also known as a dryer belt tension pulley wheel, is used in dryers. This part maintains the right amount of tension for the belt to rotate the drum. This effectively spins the drum.
