If you are buying from the USA, and having the item posted to the USA: due to new tariffs imposed by the current US administration there will be Import costs to pay which US Customs require to be paid before we can post the item to you. We can issue you a PayPal invoice for the amount, so please send us your PayPal email address when you pay for the item. Royal Mail will charge us for the Import duty and then pass it on to US Customs on your behalf. All items, irrespective of where they are made, now 13% + £1.

UK buyers, please note, that as of March 2023, Royal Mail are often taking a lot longer to deliver UK packages which are not parcels - so Large Letters and Letters. Publicly they state that they are not giving parcels priority, but they are being investigated by Ofcom because they are clearly doing just that, with many Large Letters taking a lot longer to be delivered than parcels. Please be aware of this when you buy smaller items and model railway track, except for Hornby R609. Thank you and please accept our apologies for any delay. It is of course outside our control.

'Part Number: X1707 & X1708. Also known as X1123/4.

Description: Right and Left Bright Metal Valve Gear for older Tender Drive A1, A3 and A4 Locos. The Sliders and Rods are included as pictured. Hornby's service sheet 131 covers these parts. We also have the Left Valve Gear (X1707, X1123) listed on its own.

The valve gear is also part of X8224 shown on service sheet 204 and X8740 shown on service sheet 220. The coupling rods and any pins shown as part of X8224 and X8740 are not included.

This valve gear is shown on Hornby service sheet 131, 204 and 220. It is not the same as that shown on service sheet 89 for the earlier model. Whether you can adapt it for use for the earlier model I don't know - sorry.
