If you are buying from the USA, and having the item posted to the USA: due to new tariffs imposed by the current US administration there will be Import costs to pay which US Customs require to be paid before we can post the item to you. We can issue you a PayPal invoice for the amount, so please send us your PayPal email address when you pay for the item. Royal Mail will charge us for the Import duty and then pass it on to US Customs on your behalf. All items, irrespective of where they are made, now 13% + £1.

International buyers, please note: due to the fact that it has become so costly to post items to destinations outside the UK, we have decided to implement the eBay option not to accept returns from International buyers, unless of course we make a mistake. In the 15 years + that we have been trading on eBay we have only ever had two customers who have asked to return an item because they 'changed their mind, or bought the wrong item' We try and keep our prices and postage charges as low as we possibly can, so we cannot afford the losses that we would inevitably incur if we did accept remorse returns. UK buyers, please note, that as of March 2023, Royal Mail are often taking a lot longer to deliver UK packages which are not parcels - so Large Letters and Letters. Publicly they state that they are not giving parcels priority, but they are being investigated by Ofcom because they are clearly doing just that, with many Large Letters taking a lot longer to be delivered than parcels. Please be aware of this when you buy smaller items and model railway track, except for Hornby R609. Thank you and please accept our apologies for any delay. It is of course outside our control.

Part Number: X1145, (S9573 & S2373).

Description: Hornby Drive Axle with 28 Tooth Drive Gear (17 mm diameter) for older Hornby and Triang 0-6-0 locos and maybe others. You can look this up on Hornby Service Sheet 113.

This gear (S9573) and axle (S2373) are not suitable for the later Hornby 0-6-0 locos which have a 42 tooth gear (the ones which have an unfortunate habit of easily getting stripped). I am including these two items (gear and shaft) together since it can be quite difficult to push fit a new gear onto an existing axle. The ends of the axle are splined, as your wheel centres will be.
I do also have this gear and axle assembly, separately listed with a suitable worm gear for X03 motors.
