Up for sale is an unbranded vintage 1960's radiation blocking teaching kit. This kit is complete with a metal box measuring 8.5" x 5.5" x 3". The box has an open area towards the back for storing radiation source discs. Up front there are slots to store the different parts of the kit, which include a clear acrylic block with 1" wide by 1/4" deep hole in which to place the source disc as well as 13 different thicknesses of lead and aluminum blocking pieces:

 - 10 MG AL

 - 350 MG AL
 - 100 MG PB
 - 200 MG PB

None of the blocks have any holes or cuts in them. The acrylic piece to hold the source disc does have some small chips on the edge. There are a total of three "RADIOACTIVE" stickers for the box (one is still attached to the outside). The two which came off are inside the box.

This is a super cool collectible Cold War era teaching tool which could be used with a commercial radiation source disc (available online for under $100) and a Geiger counter to show students the different types of radiation (Gamma, Beta, Alpha) and the effect that different materials have in blocking those different types of radiation.

NOTE: THIS LISTING DOES NOT INCLUDE OR CONTAIN ANY RADIOACTIVE PARTS OR PIECES. YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN SOURCE DISC.
