We recommend you wash it every 60 - 90 days, this will vary based on many variables in your home.
Homes with  pets may require more frequent washing.  Upon initial installation we recommend checking it every 30 days until you determine the best washing cycle for your home.  Every home is different so it is difficult for us to prescribe a specific washing schedule for application.

Sizing Information

  • All listed sizes are nominal filter sizes.

  • EXACT SIZE filters are not undercut like nominal filters.

  • Nominal sizes are typically 1/2" smaller in both length and width than the listed size.

    • Example: A 16" × 25" filter actually measures 15-1/2" × 24-1/2"  

  • Nominal thickness is 1", with an actual thickness of 7/8".

    • Please check your clearances before ordering to ensure proper fit.

  • We offer over 50 standard sizes plus custom size options to meet your needs.

  • Measure the width × length of the filter you need.

    • Example: 21-1/2" × 27-3/4" = 467.625 square inches

  • Determine size category:

    • 500 sq in or under → order “Custom Size under 500 square inches”

    • Over 500 sq in → order “Custom Size over 500 square inches”

  • Include your exact dimensions with your order.

    • Enter them at checkout or message us after ordering.

  • Your filter will be made to your exact specifications.

First multiply the Width x length of the filter you need. Example: 21-1/2 x 27-3/4" =  467.625 square inches
If the custom size you need is 500 square inches or under, order " Custom Size under 500 square inches"
If the filter you need is more than 500 square inches order "Custom Size over 500 square inches"
when you order, include the EXACT dimensions of  the filter you need.  The filter will be made to your exact dimensions. You may also just message us with the exact dimensions after you place the order.


Cleaning and Washing Instructions:
  1.  Remove filter from furnace
  2. Vacuum off any heavy debris
  3. Optionally you can spray on a mild detergent such as  mixture of dish detergent  and water, or a cleaner such as simple green. ( do not use any ammonia based products).
  4. Wash in the opposite direction for airflow, with a gentle stream of water. ( do not use a pressure washer)
  5. Allow to drip / air dry and reinstall.
