All the coins are proof, in capsules, and .925 fine silver. The 50mm 50 cent coin weighs 2 ounces, the 38.725 mm 20 cent is 1 ounce, the 10 cent is 32.7 mm and ½ ounce, the 5 cent is 27 mm and ¼ ounce.

The mintage limit was 1,500 sets, although South African dealers say the actual number of sets made was only 1,029. This set is numbered 430.
