Interesting Bits: Beautiful Modernist NEILS ERIK FROM - N.E. FROM of DENMARK, gleaming .925 Sterling silver hand-wrought sculptural brooch - featuring curved open circles folded in two like a taco, but not quite as closed. Consisting of two sizes of folded circles, two larger in the center and two smaller above and two smaller below a sculptural mirror imaged brooch is created, evolving from a precise geometry of symmetrical elements with three 4mm sterling spheres placed where the open circles join. Very striking. N.E. From made many varieties of this type of sculptural form. A few of N.E.From’s forms seem to be seen very infrequently. This piece is one such seldom seen design, a beautiful sculpture to be worn. It’s safety catch works perfect, fully hallmarked and in excellent, gently worn condition....ready to wear horizontally or vertically. A beautifully designed and executed piece -- by an expert Danish designer-silversmith. Created, following the long standing Danish tradition of high quality, original design, utilizing substantial amounts of quality grade sterling silver in the making of an expertly silversmithed piece....this brooch is no exception. Looks wonderful on.
