BOB DENVER
 MAYNARD G. KREBS
THE MANY LOVES OF DOBIE GILLIS

"Maynard G. Krebs is the "beatnik" sidekick of the title character in the U.S. television sitcom The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, which aired on CBS from 1959 to 1963. The Krebs character, portrayed by actor Bob Denver, begins the series as a stereotypical beatnik, with a goatee, "hip" (slang) language, and a generally unkempt, bohemian appearance. His abhorrence of conventional social forms is signified by comical reactions to three words: "work", "marriage", and "police"."

An original and vintage 8" by 10" photograph of Bob Denver that was hand signed "To Terry Best Wishes Bob Denver" in a dark blue/purple ball point pen. Boldly signed on an older paper stock that has a sepia look to it. It`s the kind of photographic paper that was popular in the 1950`s. It`s an early look of Maynard, with a thin-ish goatee. The photo is in Excellent condition with no creases or soiling. Looks to have been signed with care, long before he became a house-hold name with the Gilligan`s Island fame. We show many different shots exposures, and angles so you can get a really good look at it.

(Note: Photos may show magnified dust, a flash reflection, or color washout.)
