BAC50

Benzalkonium chloride is an antiseptic disinfectant with actions and uses similar to those of other cationic surfactants. It is also used as an antimicrobial preservative for a multitude of pharmaceutical products. BAC50 as it is more commonly known, is used as a base product for many cleaning agents you can find out on the market, the formula is deeply concentrated and highly effective for cleaning purposes.

This is a moderately hazardous product so it is should be used with care.

This formula does have the ability to cause skin reactions and can cause serious eye irritation.

We recommend wearing protective clothing, gloves and eye wear to prevent hazard.

If on the skin: Wash with plenty of water

If in the eyes: Rinse continuously with water for several minutes (ensure contact lenses are removed if this applies)

If eye irritation continues, please seek medical attention.

What is BAC50 used for?

ANSWER: We have a list of uses for this product above in the product description, but the most common uses are disinfectant additives, corrosion inhibitor, fungicide additive to prevent mould, fungus and algae and also as a phase transfer agent. How should this product be stored?

ANSWER: We recommend storing BAC50 in a dry place that is not subject to hot surfaces or direct sunlight. With any chemical, it should be kept away from children’s reach as it will be harmful if ingested. Also, ensure the cap is tight and that the bottle is kept upright so no leakage happens.
