The 316 Solid Fuel Stainless Steel Flue Liner Kit 1 contains the main parts needed to reline a suitable masonry chimney. The kit includes your selected continuous length of 150mm flexible flue liner, chimney-top fittings, an installation nose cone and a vitreous enamel adaptor.
The flexible liner has two skins made from 316L-grade stainless steel. Its smooth inner surface helps flue gases move through the chimney, while its flexible outer skin makes installation through a suitable masonry chimney easier.
The flue liner is sold by the metre. Simply select the total length required, and we will supply it as one continuous piece.
Important: This is a complete Kit 1 product. All the components listed below are included.
The 6-inch flexible flue liner is HETAS listed and classified to EN 1856-2 T450 N1 D V3 L50012 G.
Always check that the liner grade, diameter and system classification suit your appliance and chosen fuel. In addition, follow the appliance manufacturer’s installation instructions.
The liner has a smooth inner skin made from 316L-grade stainless steel. This creates a clear route for the flue gases and helps reduce areas where soot and other deposits may collect.
The flexible outer skin also uses 316L-grade stainless steel. Its convoluted design allows the liner to pass through a suitable masonry chimney more easily.
The liner is formed from a continuous strip of stainless steel. The seam is folded through four planes to create a strong and secure connection between the two skins.
The flexible flue liner should normally be installed from the top of the chimney. First, attach a suitable rope to the included nose cone. Next, secure the nose cone to the end of the liner.
Make sure the directional arrows printed on the liner point upwards in the direction of the flue gases. One installer can then guide the liner from the chimney top while another carefully pulls it down.
Once the liner reaches the appliance connection, remove the nose cone. The included top plate and top clamp can then support the liner at the chimney top. After that, fit the inset rain cap and connect the lower end using the supplied equal vitreous enamel to flue liner adaptor.
The exact installation method will depend on the chimney, appliance and complete flue design. Therefore, installation should be completed by a suitably competent person. For solid-fuel systems, use a HETAS-registered installer where appropriate.
A chimney serving a solid-fuel appliance should be swept and inspected regularly. It should normally be swept at least once a year. However, more frequent sweeping may be needed depending on the fuel, appliance use and chimney conditions.
Only burn suitable fuel with the correct moisture content. Wet wood and unsuitable fuels may create additional soot, tar and corrosive deposits inside the liner.
The 316L flexible flue liner comes with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

Please check the required diameter and length carefully before placing your order. The flexible liner is cut to your selected length. Therefore, it is a made-to-measure product and cannot normally be returned after cutting unless it is faulty.
This product includes all the parts listed under “What’s Included in the Kit”. However, some installations may need additional adaptors, insulation, supports or finishing components. Ask your installer to confirm the complete parts list before ordering.
SNH Tradecentre works closely with MI Flues to offer reliable product advice and fast order processing. As a result, many stocked flue liner kits can be prepared and dispatched on the same working day when ordered before the applicable cut-off time.
If you are unsure about the required length, liner diameter or connection parts, please contact SNH Tradecentre before ordering.
