About Great River Arts: Great River Arts began its journey in 2006, restoring and painting historical French maps of the Mississippi River. These gently painted maps captivated art collectors and interior designers with their subtle enchantment, leading to widespread demand for restored and painted historic maps across the country.

The historical map collection quickly expanded to include custom map services for private estates, resorts, lakes, public lands, and regional attractions. These maps are infused with vintage charm, incorporating borders, cartouches, and fonts inspired by historic maps from the 1850s and earlier.

Each piece of art from Great River Arts is the result of a meticulous, collaborative process involving cartographers, architects, colorists, and professional researchers. Operating from a home base near Glacier National Park in Montana, the team also works from the road to pursue new map suggestions and collaborations, continually creating original pieces and refining designs that resonate with history and beauty.
