Functional Description:

ASDC2035G is a Standalone Auto Sliding Door Closing Systems for Sliding Doors, Recessed Cavity Slider or Pocket door - For a system combining the HouseRite ASDC2035G & HouseRite Jexis CRJS101NL2 (Rev2) for a Complete Auto Sliding Door Closer system.

6 Quick steps to Determine which ASDC you require:

  1. Use a luggage scale to determine the force required to close the door. - If New and not yet installed ask the Door Vendor what force is required/Weight of the door etc
  2. Connect luggage scale to intended door & pull door closed repeat the process a few (6+) times writing down the highest and lowest values each time from the start to the stop to obtain a good average.
  3. The highest force required to close the door will indicate which door closer is best suited for the application.
  4. If the values are repeatably high then you may have to do some maintenance (Clean, replace) the existing rails, guides, rollers etc.
  5. If you want the Cavity Door leading edge to be Flush with the door frame (Door does NOT protrude into thoroughfare) So to release it from the Cavity the Jexis 2 ”Push it” system upgrade is recommended - No Pull Latches, Finger Holes, Large D Handles etc required . See Quick Links ending Jexis 2 below
  6. Do NOT use Wet lubricant (WD40Silicone or Oil based lubricants etc) on door mechanism, Rollers etc - The “wet lubricant” attracts dirt, which build up over time increasing resistance causing ASDC function incorrectly increasing maintenance Use a Dry Lubricant - eg: Teflon or Graphite.

  1. The HouseRite Jexis 2 (PIT) Cavity Release is a neat alternative to front edge of door hardware for retrieving doors from cavity pockets with “Hold Open” Mode.
  2. The Jexis works by charging a spring mechanism when opening the door and stowing within the recessed cavity (specifically the last 15mm).
  3. Once the spring is charged, simply push on the door edge to release the spring catch and the door is ejected up to +/-100mm from the pocket allowing the ASDC to close the door once released.
    Note: Glazed doors require available depth of 120mm.

***INSTRUCTIONS***

  1. Follow the supplied Manual for full and correct Installation procedure
  2. Read instructions 2x before doing any modifications to the door or ASDC
  3. Ensure that all items and components are present as per the items list in the instruction manual
  4. Ensure you understand all the various aspects of the installation fully before proceeding, and that you have the correct tools to do the installation
  5. If you are unsure or have any questions call us or send an email
  6. Do NOT use Wet lubricant (WD40 etc) on door closer or Rollers - The “wet lubricant” attracts dirt the buildup of which will require more maintenance - Use a Dry Lubricant - eg: Teflon or Graphite
  7. Do NOT lubricate the internals or cable of the ASDC keep it clean during installation make sure all swarm is removed before installing
  8. Ensure correct tensioning - Do NOT let the cable Rub against anything - This will damage the cables sheath causing malfunction and is NOT covered under Warranty
