| Coppell TV Repair LLC is offering a repair kit for a common failure in DELTA power supply boards based on DELTA PCB DPS-162KP-1 (can be found printed on the board itself). The board is used in several Sharp LED TV models including, but not limed to LC-70C7450U , LC-70C8470U and LC-70LE847U. "Repair kit" means a number of components (see below) and NOT a replacement board; components need to be replaced, which requires soldering and experience in electronic repairs (again see below). Failure symptoms A failure in the standby circuit is manifested by totally dead TV, missing +5V standby on the power supply board; resistor R7900 open (could be visibly burned), diode D7950 possibly shorted. A failure in the PFC circuit is manifested by usually having standby voltage, but failing to raise 390V on capacitors C7800A & C7800B upon signalling the board; transistor Q7801 can be shorted and sometimes visibly burned and the main fuse F7001 may or may not be burned. TV would blink 2 slow and 2 fast blinks on the LED. Kit contents Replacement components for IC7903, R7900, C7817 and D7950 from the standby power circuit and Q7801, IC7801,R7811 from the PFC circuit. Also F7001 , which may fail as a result of either failure. All components in the kit are brand new. They may be slightly different from the ones on the board, but they are guaranteed functional replacements or improvements over the OEM parts. Contents may change without notice as we gain more data on those and other failures on the board over time. Difficulty level Easy to medium. Generic soldering equipment should allow doing the job.
