Chubby Dried Silkworm Pupae are a 100% natural, high-protein crunchy food that can be fed to koi and other fish, turtles, terrapins, many reptiles, and wild birds. As well as being rich in protein, they are a source of calcium, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. Silkworm Pupae contain chitin – the insect outer casing provides a source of insoluble material that can contribute to dietary fibre. Naturally rich in protein and energy, dried silkworm pupae make a nutritious supplementary treat for insect-eating wild birds, helping support energy requirements, feather condition and overall diet variety.

Silkworm pupae are especially popular with koi keepers, as they are said to help with growth and colour enhancement and support a healthy slime coat.
