This item is a a solid pewter
vintage belt buckle. It is in the rectangular shape of a USPS postage
stamp commemorating RURAL AMERICA Kansas Hard Winter Wheat 1874-1974. It
shows an open field with tiny wheat plants starting and a train
crossing through the middle of it.
I presume the buckle is from around the time of the issue of the stamp,
1974, but the buckle is not specifically dated as such. The only thing
I can read on the back is SOLID PEWTER. It is about 2 7/8" x 1 7/8" and
is in very good condition, some wear. There is an indentation flaw from
manufacture on the bottom edge. A great buckle to use and enjoy and for
your collection whether of buckles, stamp related items or Kansas
farming history.
