The story of Mio began in 1999 when it was
created by entrepreneur and mother of three, Liz Dickinson. Like many of us, Liz
balances family and career, leaving little time for fitness. After several
unsuccessful attempts to achieve her fitness goals and shed the pregnancy
weight-gain of her third child, Liz turned to a personal trainer for advice.
While working with a trainer, Liz realized the key to getting in shape and
staying in shape is to practice smart eating habits, monitoring calorie intake,
and using a heart rate monitor to ensure that she exercises at the right level.

All returns must be returned in the same condition as it was when received and must include a copy of the invoice. They must include all documents and tags that were included with the
watch. Any watch that has visible sign of wear, or are scratched in any way,
or missing any of the original packaging, will be returned to the customer at
the customer’s expense, and the refund will not be issued. In addition to
this, we do not accept returns on any watch that was sized by any other jeweler. Once the return
is approved, a refund will be issued to the same method used in the purchase. When sending a watch back to us for return, please use a reliable service
that is insured. Insurance and tracking is optional but highly recommended. All returns must be filed before 14 days; after that time, we are no longer responsible - no exceptions! All returns must be inspected and approved by us before the return is finalized.

- Water-resistance ratings: Use these guidelines to choose the right water-resistant watch:
- Water Resistant: Will resist moisture from accidental splashing, rain, sweat, etc.
- 3 ATM: 30 meters/100 feet: Suitable for everyday use. No swimming. This level will easily withstand splashes or brief immersion in water, or getting caught in the rain. However, it is not sufficiently resistant for swimming or bathing.
- 5 ATM: 50 meters/165 feet: This level will easily withstand splashes or brief immersion in water, or getting caught in the rain. However, it is not sufficiently resistant for swimming or bathing.
- 10 ATM: 100 meters/330ft: This level of water resistance will allow a watch to be worn around household sinks, while playing sports and while swimming, poolside diving or snorkeling. Do not wear it while scuba diving.
- 20 ATM: 200 meters/660 feet: Suitable for high-impact water sports and some diving.
- Diver: 150-200 meters/500-660 feet: Suitable for scuba diving and passes ISO regulations.
