Vintage Lackner Neon Glo model Rajah electric mantel clock in Art Deco style. Wooden case. Made in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. For AC current only.
Fully working. The movement runs and keeps time. The illumination works: small bulbs built into the case shine into the edges of the glass panels and light up the dial and the side glass wings. Please note this model does not contain a neon tube. Neon Glo is the Lackner product line name.
Controls: original metal ON OFF toggle switch on the lower back of the wooden base turns the interior illumination on and off.
Please note: the clock appears to have been repaired at some point, and the power cord appears to have been replaced. Some numerals on the dial are unevenly painted, as visible in the photos.
Please note: after extended use of the illumination, light condensation may appear on the inside of the glass. It clears after the light is switched off.
The back carries the original Lackner Neon Glo Clock plate, Cincinnati Ohio USA. The interior paper label reads RAJAH with handwritten markings.
This is a wonderful live piece of American Art Deco history, ready to be displayed and enjoyed.
