Antique & Vintage Photographs

This is a 35mm transparency / slide.

It shows four RAF English Electric Lightning jet fighters lined up nose to tail on an airfield, identified by the handwritten mount captions as 74 Squadron aircraft. Each aircraft has a dark tail fin carrying a squadron emblem, and RAF roundels are visible on the fuselages. A single figure stands on the grass to the left of the line, and a large hangar is in the background on the right. An open stretch of grass and concrete hardstanding fills the foreground under a cloudy sky. The mount is handwritten '74 Sqn Lightnings.' in black ink on an applied paper label at the top, and again in green ink at the lower left. The label partly covers the printed 'Agfacolor' name and a printed number on the mount, and the Agfa diamond logo is printed at the lower right.
