Fuel pump
The fuel pump needs to be replaced if the following conditions occur:
(1) Unable to start or difficulty in starting.
(2) sudden trouble accelerating/slow acceleration,obvious lack of power.
(3) abnormal noise.
(4) increased fuel comsumption.
(5) Low fuel pressure.
Function and effect:
It is an important part of fuel injection system and belongs to the execution element of fuel control system.
The fuel in the fuel tank is transported to the injector for injection, and finally the fuel is burned inside the engine to provide power.
Installation Guide:
(1) Find the appropriate fuel pump for the vehicle and check the related components of the fuel system, such as the fuel filter, the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump itself.
(2) Release the pressure of the fuel system and disconnect the battery negative cable.
(3) Empty or drain the fuel and disconnect the electrical connection between the filling pipe hose and the pump.
(4) Remove the fuel tank of the vehicle, disconnect the fuel pipeline to take out the old fuel pump, check and clean the inside and surrounding area of the fuel pump, compare the old fuel pump with the new fuel pump, and confirm again whether the fuel pump is correct.
(5) Check the wires/hoses of the replacement vehicle, install new fuel pumps and filters, and connect the fuel lines.
(6) Reinstall the fuel tank and connect the filling pipe hose and electrical connector.
(7) Fill the fuel tank with uncontaminated fuel, conduct tests and carefully check for leaks or problems.
