About the Artist:

Al B. Sure! (born Albert Joseph Brown III, 1968, Boston, Massachusetts) was one of the defining R&B voices of the late 1980s and early 1990s New Jack Swing era. His silky, falsetto-tinged vocal style and polished production sensibility made him an instant sensation when his debut single Nite and Day hit #1 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1988.

Working closely with producer Kyle West and operating within Quincy Jones' Qwest Records family, Al B. Sure! became one of the era's premier romantic R&B artists. He also had success as a producer, working with artists including Diana Ross and Christopher Williams. Sexy Versus represents his mature period, featuring collaborators like DeVante Swing of Jodeci and up-and-coming producer Vincent Herbert.
