This fine fellow is shown in the best toy bank book every printed, "Moores' Penny Bank Book". He is M# 756 rated "A". This is an extra fine casting, really smooth. The photos will show every inch of this proud fellow, but if you have questions, please email me. He is called "Lion, Fine Haired Mane" The size is 3 13/16 X 4 7/8". There's no date in the book, and no maker. But from the smooth feel of the iron, my guess is A.C.Williams in the 1920's. He does look great on a shelf with other lions. Lions were a popular bank and there are even a lot of reproductions around. Know what you are buying, if you want old, don't be tricked into a new one. Smooth is older and rough is newer. Don't be fooled by some corny story. You can always resale an old item, but you'll never get a dime for a story! IF THE ACTUAL POSTAGE IS LESS THAN YOU PAID, WE REFUND THE EXTRA!
