This is a Brand NEW VW Antenna Base and is a high quality replacement made specifically for your Volkswagen. This is a Direct replacement part WITH the built in powered amp and circuit board. So if you have Poor or no AM on your radio, ( which is the first to go, then your FM signal will follow ) then your amp in the base has burned out and this is the part that you will need to regain your reception.
