Condition:

    The print is in excellent condition [i.e., clear and clean image, very strong paper and plate mark, no bend, no tear, and slight but even age toning]. It was printed on high quality heavy wove paper with a blank verso. There are some very minor stains around the edge of the margins as shown by the detailed photo. Ample photos (front, back, and details) in high resolution are presented for you convenience of identification and judging its excellent quality independently.  

Description:

     This very nice and relatively rare [even though not numbered, his period etchings were usually limited at less than 100] was produced by Anton Schutz [1894 -1977, a noted German American artist and etcher and well-known for his etchings of various cityscape around the world from the 1920s and 30s]. He had traveled to Japan in the 20s and made several interesting and realistic etchings of its architecture and street scene. This is a good example and it depicted a traditional cross section of a street [around Arima in Kobe] showing various shops lining the old street with many figures in their daily activities.
