The concept of j.custom is very simple.
"A guitar that uses carefully selected materials and is assembled by Japan's leading skilled craftsmen, always pursuing high playability and superior sound."
This has remained unchanged since its inception.
With this concept in mind, j.custom is Ibanez's top-of-the-line electric guitar, manufactured in a domestic workshop to meet the diverse styles, preferences, and demands of guitarists at a high level.

● A new j.custom model with a reverse headstock, featuring a body color with fine mica inlays that displays various expressions, combined with chrome hardware for a sharp and sophisticated look.
● "RG j.custom Super Wizard" shape 5-piece maple/wenge neck
This neck is constructed from 5 pieces of maple and wenge wood, prioritizing strength while aiming for a natural sound.
It features an ultra-thin Super Wizard shape, ideal for players who prefer an extremely light grip, prioritizing playability and thinness.
The neck back has a "Velvetouch" finish that feels comfortable in the hand, like a guitar that has been played for many years.
● Ebony fingerboard
Ebony fingerboard is used, characterized by its quick attack and rich sustain.
●Tree of Life Fretboard Inlay
This inlay design is inspired by the "Tree of Life" planted in the center of the Garden of Eden, as described in the Old Testament.
It's one of the points where you can enjoy the exquisite beauty unique to Made in Japan craftsmanship.
●Luminlay Glow-in-the-Dark Fretboard Side Dot Position Markers
Glow-in-the-dark dot position markers are used to adapt to rapidly changing playing environments due to lighting, etc.
●Basswood Body
Uses basswood, which has been used in many artist models, including the early models of the RG series.
It features a natural, flat tone without any noticeable characteristics.
●Jumbo Size Frets with J. Custom Fret Edge Treatment
This is a custom treatment where the edges are rounded to a spherical shape.
This process requires skill not only to create a spherical shape but also to ensure consistent shape, and is only possible for skilled craftsmen. Each fret is meticulously done by hand. The smooth, stress-free feel is something you'll definitely notice when making large changes in your left-hand position.
●DiMarzio Pickups
For a natural tone, the neck position features a PAF 36th Anniversary pickup with low output and a warm, sweet tone; the middle position features a True Velvet pickup with a bright, noiseless sound; and the bridge position features a covered The Tone Zone pickup with a balanced output from high to low frequencies for a powerful sound.
●Lo-Pro Edge Tremolo Bridge
Equipped with the original Lo-Pro Edge tremolo, which boasts an extremely low-profile design.
By designing the unit as low as possible and positioning the fine tuners at the rear, the possibility of accidentally hitting it and throwing off tuning during playing is minimized.
●Gotoh MG-T Machine Heads
For ease of string changes, Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads, renowned for their tuning stability, are installed.
The dial allows for easy locking of the strings through the post holes.
● Gotoh Strap Lock
Equipped with a GOTOH strap lock that can be attached and detached with a single touch.
● Switchcraft Jack
Uses a Switchcraft pipe jack, renowned for its robust and trouble-free construction.
● Tilted Jack Cavity
Unlike typical side-jack guitars, the woodworking of the jack where the shield cable plug is inserted is carved outwards from the strap pin direction towards the inside of the body.
This is a design feature to prevent accidental disconnection of the cable by securing it to the strap.
