Listening to radio has been transformed by DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting). Gone are the days of twiddling dials in the hope of finding something half decent to listen to. With DAB/DAB+ (Band III) digital radio, you have a huge choice of stations at your fingertips, broadcasting in clear sound quality. Tune in at the touch of a button using 10 DAB/DAB+ presets. You can also access a full spectrum of popular FM stations with 10 presets for storing your favourites.

One of the big benefits of DAB/DAB+ is its ability to transmit real-time information such as song titles, music type and station data. So when you tune in and scroll on the LCD display, you’ll be able to see exactly what you’re listening to. With so many stations available, this is a really handy feature that puts you in total command of your radio.

Sit down and enjoy clearer radio reception. As DAB transmits digital audio, you won’t have to put up with the hiss and crackle that can happen on weaker signals with FM. Digital reception quality is superior to FM with Sony audio technology helping to provide interference-free listening.

It runs equally well on four AA batteries as it does from the mains, making it perfect for taking on holiday or to the park. You’ll get 13 hours of DAB/DAB+ reception or 10 hours of FM reception when using Sony AA alkaline batteries. There’s also a low battery alert on the LCD display.
