      This original etching is in excellent plus condition [i.e., clear and pristine image, strong and bright paper, original full margins , vivid colors, no tear, never framed (which is very rare), and slight but even age toning – likely one of the nicest conditions you will ever encounter for this print]. It was printed on high quality heavy wove paper with a blank verso. Ample photos (front, back, and details) in high resolution are presented for your convenience of identification and judging its excellent quality independently.

Flaws to note:  Nearly flawless with a tiny paper imperfection spot at top left margin and some very minor stains on backside as shown by the detailed photos.

Description:

      Lucien Henri Grandgerard (1880-1970) was a noted French Boudoir Artist contemporary of the better-known Louis Icart. This beautiful etching is a very good example of his style and subject. Colors were printed via a la poupee [i.e., directly applied on a single etching plate, thus, each one was quite unique in colors and shade].
