Descriptions & Conditions:
Beginning around 1760 and following the lead of Gentleman's Magazine, London Magazine started to publish a set of nice little road maps from London to various destinations. Those road maps were in a form of multiple strips following the Ogilby's tradition. They were very useful for travelers of their time. Each strip has its own compass rose and implied mileage scale. This road map, being the first of five maps from London to Barwick, covers from London to Huntingdonshire in about 60 miles via Middlesex, Hartford, and Cambridge shires in six strips.
The map is in excellent condition with slight text offset in the bottom margin as shown in the detailed photos. Please note that all other four road maps of this set [from London to Barwick] have been located shortly after I posted some corrections for this one.
Note that this item and our other antique maps and prints are absolutely and unconditionally guaranteed [with full money back including shipping] to be original [i.e., not a modern copy or reproduction] and as described.
