For sale is a replica of a Jaguar C-Type.  We are selling this car for a friend and we will try to provide as much information as possible.  Please email with any questions.  The car is located in Rochester, New York.

This replica was purchased in 2002 from the previous owner in Ohio.  The car is believed to be a Heritage replica.  The body is fiberglass with some aluminum panels.  The undercarriage is a welded steel monocoque space frame of square shaped tubing.  It is beautifully constructed.  The engine, transmission, suspension, driveline, brakes, electrics and gauges are all old original Jaguar components.  We are not sure of the date of manufacture of this replica vehicle.

The car was registered and licensed in New York state until 2009.  It drove without any issues.  When we photographed this car on April 16, 2011, we started it and it runs fine.  All the mechanical components appear to be in working condition except the Smiths electric fuel pump.  A new in-box Smiths fuel pump will be included with the vehicle.

The best way to describe this vehicle is that it has a very authentic vintage feel and patina.  It looks and feels like a vintage car.  It shows expected signs of wear and usage on the carpets, seats, paint and interior components.   There are really no modern or out-of-place components on the car.  See details below and photos for specifics.

The engine is a 3.4 litre.  The number on the head (see photo) is LE 3557-9.  The reproduction data plate installed on the firewall (see photo) shows various numbers assigned by the manufacturer.  Here are some specifics:

Dunlop four wheel disc brakes with booster;  Helmet style battery terminals;  Original Champion logo spark plug ends;  Old original bronze Jaguar bonnet badge (excellent condition);  Old original Lucas tail lamps and side lamps (excellent condition);  4 leather straps at top and sides of bonnet;  Four speed transmission (believed to be Moss);  Aluminum louvers on bonnet top and sides;  Plexiglas windscreen riveted to body and doors plus a pair of beautiful AeroScreen folding windscreens;  Moto Lita steering wheel;  Pair of Raydyot racing mirrors;  Old Jaguar rear view mirror on dash top;  Old seat belts with "D" Daimler logo;  Vintage interior door handles;   Four Vredestein tires in new condition and Dunlop spare;  Silver painted wire wheels with chrome knock-offs;  Vintage Jaguar emergency brake handle;  Real leather bucket seats;  Auxilliary battery terminals installed under dashboard at passenger side (assume used for racing).

The British racing green paint is very nice but should be considered as race-quality.  There are some minor chips and dings on the fiberglass body.

The owner must sell this car so we have placed a low reserve on it to be sure it sells.

It is being sold completely As-Is.

Please come to Rochester to inspect it personally if possible.  Also there are many special interest automobile firms that could be hired to inspect the car on your behalf.

We have an additional 15 photos that can be emailed to you if interested.

Buyer must arrange for pick up and delivery.  Payment to be cash or possibly electronic fund transfer approved by car owner's bank or bank check (which must clear owner's bank before car can be picked up).
