You are bidding or 'buying now' a 1987 MG Metro which is currently on a SORN and showing mileage of approximately 58,000. It has been stored for two and a half years and will require recommissioning before returning to the road. During storage the handbrake and clutch seized BUT included with the car are new handbrake and clutch cables. The engine, which performed strongly and with no problems prior to storage, started first pull with a little choke and revs and runs well. All photos taken on 10 June 2013.

TYRES - I HAVE FIVE 'METRIC' TYRES STORED ON STEEL RIMS - 3 Dunlop TD SP Elite 160/65R 315 one is unused, two others very minimal wear. 2 Courier M65 160/65R 315 both used but still lots of tread £120 the lot

Apart from a full service and change of fluids the suspension looks as if it could do with a pump up and for the MOT I think that the brake hoses etc will need to be replaced as there is surface rust evident. The car has not been mucked about with but would benefit from TLC. These cars are becoming quite rare now with the site How Many Left? showing just 105 currently on the road for all years with 1987 showing just 5 currently taxed. 

Rust - above ground there is a ten pence sized rust bubble on the o/s front wing and also visible on the fuel filler flap and around the inside of the filler opening. The outer cills both show some rust and the underside has acquired a thin coating of light rust from storage in a sometimes damp garage. But as far as I can see from a visual inspection of the car as it stands in the garage there is no severe rust or holes in floors etc. which all appear solid. The photos make the paint look lighter than it is.
