Some time ago, I bought a big pile of misc. sports memorabilia from the estate of Eugene Magner of Detroit, Mich. I have been unable to find out much about him, but do know this - he attended University of Illinois, Urbana in 1940, was a student at Florida Southern College, Lakeland in 1953 (Baseball Administration School), followed Baseball (Minors and Majors), Football (both Pro & College), and was vocal in his opinions. He also seems to have hung on to everything! I will be listing these 1 of a kind, unique items as time alows, so keep watching. Letter on U of I letterhead to Gene, from and signed by President David D. Henry. Pertains to U of I "athletic situation", contains 9 page copy of Henry's public comment on the same, also includes cover envelope. OLD and ORIGINAL. NOT a reproduction of any kind. Front shown.
