Record Description

André Previn was one of the most versatile musicians of the twentieth century — equally at home conducting the world's great orchestras, composing film scores that won four Academy Awards, and improvising jazz piano with the finest players of his generation. His tenure with the London Symphony Orchestra produced some of the most accessible and warmly received classical recordings of the era.
A compilation showcase featuring André Previn conducting the London Symphony Orchestra in a programme of popular orchestral works spanning Prokofiev's playful Classical Symphony to Strauss's sumptuous Rosenkavalier Waltzes.
