I am selling a gorgeous thick wool fabric length of original antique fabric which would have formed part of a much larger paisley shawl.  

This fabric dates from the Victorian period and would have been used as a thicker outdoor shawl with the pattern woven into the woolen cloth rather than being printed.

This thick wool fabric is bright reds, oranges, greens, creams fabric is covered with gorgeous swirly paisley designs and will make a beautiful and wonderfully warm scarf or draping piece to add to a decorative scheme.

The fabric is still bright and vibrant with no fading or staining.  There are some loose threads to the edges which includes the last vestiges of the original fringing to the shawl.  There are a couple of little holes to the fabric but nothing significant.

All in all a super lovely and generously sized piece of antique  paisley fabric.

This piece of fabric would have formed an edge of the shawl and the two shorter ends of the fabric are both selvedge edges.

This fabric measures 140 cm / 55 inches x 34.5 cm / 13.5 inches.

This item has had a previous life and may show signs of wear and tear commensurate with age. If I spot any issues these will be included in the description or in the photos of the item. Please check these before purchasing.
