NBA Jam (Acclaim / Midway)
Description:
For sale is a factory sealed and graded copy of NBA Jam for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). This is a true first print copy that featured Charles Barkley, who was replaced with Dan Majerle in later copies due to licensing issues. This can be distinguished as first print copies have "Licenced from Midway Manufacturing Company" and a smaller text box on the lower right of the back of the box. Later print 'Play as Dan Majerle' copies changed this text to "The NBA and NBA Team trademarks used herein are used under license from NBA Properties, Inc to Midway Manufacturing Company" and increased the size of that text box. The authenticity has been verified and this received a near perfect rating of 9.2 A+ grade by Wata Games. Of the sixteen sealed copies HA has sold, all sixteen copies have been later 'Play as Dan Majerle' so first print 'Play as Barkley' copies such as this are incredibly rare; WATA/PSA was not accurately tracking variants until a year or two ago.
The game is graded and encapsulated in an acrylic by WATA Games. All pictures are of the actual items you will receive.
