NO MORE HYDRAULICS! PATENTED DESIGN
The factory hydraulic components were not designed to be rebuilt. The hydraulic rams must be completely dismantled and cut open to install new seals – then they must be perfectly aligned and soldered back together again without damaging the new o-ring seals. Not a DIY task. Even if you get the hydraulic system rebuilt - in time SOMETHING WILL FAIL. It is a needlessly complex system that is PRONE TO FAILURE.
If fluid leaks out of one side, the system becomes unbalanced – it is a messy ordeal to bleed and get the right amount of fluid back in. Without replacing all the seals it is just a matter of time until another failure. We have identified at least 13 modes of failure on the factory hydraulic system.
Don't wait until your 996 Turbo’s factory hydraulic system catastrophically fails and ruins your paint job or creates a mess in your engine compartment. If you see fluid leaking from the bottom of either hydraulic ram – or get the spoiler warning light, your system is ready to fail. THIS COULD BE A FIRE HAZARD. Don't get stuck with your wing cocked half way up or not working.
Installing the PATENTED eRam Kit: No modifications, no cutting, no drilling. Remove the old system, remove the 1/4 turn wing bolts and bolt in the new eRam kit then reattach the wing. Connect up the MicroModule to prevent the spoiler warning and that's it. Detailed illustrated step by step instructions and video links guide you through removal of the factory system and installation of the eRam kit. Installation takes about 2 hours. Simple wiring - nearly plug and play! Anybody with normal hand tools can install the eRam kit. This is the most economical and easiest way to permanently fix the 996 turbo’s wing mechanism.
