USB Keyboard Encoder (for arcade projects)
This USB keyboard encoder come with 20 inputs and are super easy to connect to your arcade controls via the screw terminals. These are great for use with MAME and other arcade projects.
The device has 4 keymapping presets for MAME (1 player and 2 player), Pinball (Virtual Pinball and Future Pinball) and a generic preset (for any other purpose). The mode can be easily switched by pressing the onboard toggle button. The selected mode is remembered when the device is powered off.
The device uses direct input so there is no blocking or ghosting like you get with some encoders.
The device works as a standard USB HID keyboard and does not require any drivers. The device is powered by +5V when connected to computer USB port. No external power source required.
Come with stickers to easily identify the 20 inputs.
Here is a list of the key mapping presets.
To toggle presets simply press the HWB button on the device. A pin for HWB is also provided - if you want to toggle via an arcade button. After toggle, the LED's (red/blue) will flash a number of times to indicate the active mode.
