Early Marklin O gauge Turntable for electric locomotives. Clockwork drive. 26" in diameter.

What is interesting is that it is for electrically powered locomotives.

It appears to use the same mechanism as was used in their rare and spectacular swing bridge.

I have included a video to show that the clockwork mechanism works but it is erratic and often needs a helping hand to keep going.

Marklin did manufacture a similar electrically driven turntable in the early 1900s but other than the one that was in the Coluzzi collection I don't know of any others.

Re Shipping costs. When I listed this initially I made an error with the measurements so that there were some outlandish quotes for international shipping. That has been corrected.
