And at a unbelievable bidding opportunity starting at ONE PENNY WITH NO RESERVE, you simply cannot turn away from this one! THE MOVEMENT This beautiful full plate movement is equipped with a rare 23 ruby jewels set in gold screw settings! The elaborately Damaskeened, 18 size movement is engraved with the following information: Having been carefully timed by our staff, we can confidently assure you that this movement is still running strong and is keeping accurate time. This exemplary adjusted movement contains a double roller escapement and a micrometer regulator for exceptional performance. This movement is lever set at the 5 position and stem wound at the 3 position. THE CASE Elegance is defined here with a show-stopping, chased hunter case that will undoubtedly prompt you to show off its rare beauty at all your upcoming gatherings. Featured in an intricately chased hunting case, this fine pocket watch has nice, crisp case covers & bow. It is also equipped with a cuvette (dust cover) for added protection. The hunter style watch was originally used by people of status and used as a dress watch. An exquisite pattern highlighted with birds in flight is delicately chased on both the front and back of the case.
This case measures approximately 55 mm, excluding the pendant & crown, and approximately 70 mm with the pendant & crown. A slightly raised, pristine crystal sits on the smooth, golden bezel. The inside of the case back is engraved with “KEYSTONE WATCH CASE CO 8010648”, while the inside of the dust cover has "GUARANTEED 25 YEARS J.BOSS". The case shows very little wear and emits a bright, quality gleam. The case back & side has a small nick near the 4 o'clock position that is only noticeable upon scrutiny. You will undoubtedly enjoy the feeling of timeless performance and beauty be cradled in the palm of your hand with this ILLINOIS BUNN SPECIAL.
It’s hard to imagine that the high grade mechanics of this fine pocket watch could be overshadowed by its beauty. But just wait until you gaze at the classic features of this spectacular dial! Its minty, crisp white, porcelain dial is perfectly set off by the fancy, jet black Arabic numbers. Simple dashes sit below every marked minute from 1-60 on the outer chapter ring along with red marginals at the hour positions. The famous ILLINOIS signature is stamped on this distinguished double sunk dial. This dial is graced by spade-style hour and minute hands in peacock blue, which delightfully glimmer in the light in contrast to the clean dial. The 6 o’clock position holds a sunk sub seconds dial, which has numbered markers at each 10 second increment and the number “6” inside the seconds dial specific to the Montgomery style. These Montgomery dials were preferred by Railroad men. Important Note: We know that times are difficult, so you should know that every bid you place is truly appreciated!
