W7RY Universal Step Start Board

NEW and improved Version 2.0  

The 2.0 version of the W7RY Universal Step Start Board now has optional fuses to protect the resistors in the event of a shorted tube, shorted high voltage interlock or other catastrophic failure during the step start process. The fuses are easily by-passed if you don't want them. Resistors and fuses must be mounted on opposite sides of the board, buy can be mounted on either side of the board depending on your particular mounting.

This board will work in ANY linear amplifier or power supply. The relays are supplied with 120 volts AC which can be picked up where the fan or blower is connected in your amplifier. Then the relay/resistor circuit is placed in series with the fuses or circuit breakers inside of amplifier. Works on both 120 or 240 volt amplifiers and won't effect the way the voltage selection jumpers work.

This auction is for a HIGH QUALITY PC board only as shown. Mounts with silicone glue/sealant or a 6-32 screw. Board measures 3" X 1.75".

All parts are available from Mouser. The parts list is included on the schematic which also has installation notes.

This is not a kit. It is a bare circuit board, schematic and limited instructions. If you are not familiar with amplifier construction, design and how they work, you may have difficulty with this board. Please get an "Elmer" to help you.
