This cable is DESIGNED to work on Bose Sounddock Digital Music System series 1 V1 only! (made before fall 2008) If your Bose Sounddock series 1 charges 5V IPOD/IPHONE such as IPHONE 3G, 4, 4S, IPOD touch & 2g up nano 4g & up, you have a V2, this cable will not work. V1 and V2 look exactly the same.
