Up for sale gorgeous large original Nautical oil painting on canvas, signed by the mysterious Artist "T. Bailey" (American, 19th/20th). 

The painting depicts a nautical scene, with a large sailing ship in a choppy ocean. A classic maritime style, one that is so rarely seen nowadays. A wide array of blue patterns creates a calming image and at the same time projects a feeling of freedom. 

Framed in a nice gold frame. 

Signed in the lower-right corner T.Bailey.

Good antique condition. The painting has some minor paint scuffs.

According to information from different sources, T. Bailey did not exist but was a pseudonym of several artists from the Massachusetts communities around Cape Ann. One of these Artists was William F.Paskell (British-American 1866-1951). This truly is a unique and intriguing piece of art you will enjoy having in your collection.

Framed measuring 36.5" x 28.5", painting measures 31.5" x 23.5".
