Cobra Sport performance exhausts enhance the sound, looks and quality of your vehicle giving you the ultimate driving experience.
This Leon Cupra R performance exhaust is made in 3"/76.2mm pipework and fits from the catalytic converter section backwards (Cat-back) these exhausts replace the centre and rear sections.
This non-resonated sports exhaust makes the system louder as it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note. This exhaust however, is also available as a resonated version (including centre silencer) which is a quieter option.
All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied.
The Seat Leon Cupra R is one which will always be on the list of cars regularly tuned and so Cobra Sport was eager to take advantage of the full tuning potential which this car offers.
From the moment the car revs up you can tell that Cobra Sport have added something a little bit special, with the de-catted 3" bore non-resonated upgrade providing a scintillating soundtrack, for those seeking a more powerful sound quality.
Sales Manager at Cobra Sport says 'The Cupra R system has provided us with some exciting results, independent testing has revealed that the 3" Turbo back upgrade with a re-map produces over a 20% increase in BHP. A substantial weight saving can also be achieved with the 3" turbo back system providing a whopping 50% decrease in weight from the Original Equipment version. The Cobra Sport system really improves the drivability of this car and takes it to the next level'.
Cobra Sport testing showed that the standard OE system produced a more than healthy 259 bhp. However, with the Cobra Sport turbo back system with de-cat, including the mandatory re-map, the figure increases to 321.5 bhp, which is a massive 24% gain. Similarly, torque increases from 249 ft per lb / 337.5 Nm to 314 ft per lb / 425 Nm, a gain of 26%.
The resonated cat-back upgrade provides a softer refinement which raises the game a little, without compromising on day-to-day usability. With the many fitment options available in this model it is certainly possible to tailor the exhaust upgrade to suit your own specific requirements. This system also benefits from a very useful weight saving when compared with the OE version and the stand out exhaust design certainly sets the car apart from the non-tuned versions.
Durability and excellent service levels come as standard with Cobra Sport along with the usual refinements such as CNC mandrel bent tubing and precision TIG welding on all joints, with the entire system being hand finished, using grade 304 stainless steel throughout.
