Well, this is nice. For the modern TV, it all started here—on the bridge on the Enterprise-D: A huge Star Trek gamble, a huge business gamble. And this is a couple of huge floor plans to show it all off—great for framing!

This PIECE IS the STAGE 8 setup floor plan of the TNG Enterprise-D bridge, observation lounge, ready roomand the officer's quarters/corridor AND new Ten-Forward, built for Season 2 when it and the earlier sets were moved from Stage 6 and erected on Stage 8.

THIS ITEM is two half sheets, a copy set made for me in 1992 when I was starting on The Next Generation Companion—one half each of the stage floor's sets, and easily overlapped for framing (or separate framing).  Very readable and BIG: 24 x 36 inches ...  each a first-generation blackline copy directly off the original made for reference, and stored rolled ever since.

This was a plan drawn over the existing stage file blueprint, and thus there is a central "STAGAE 8" ID title with specs, but not a TNG title block as such. They are not really dated except for the Season 2 move/redo, and beyond. A blueprint copy of these plans was kept in the Cooper Building 2nd floor conference room framed, where the production meetings for each episode were twice held. If you want a start on building your own Enterprise-D set, analog or CGI they way it truly was... here's a great way!  Or, just to show your devotion.

25+ years later it is easy to second-guess, but these sets built on these stages at Paramount PIctures were on shaky ground at first. Not for long, but the early days were both exciting and nervy—right here on Stage 8 and the first key sets built there.

(They had started next door on smaller Stage 6, but got to move closer the "core" sets on Stage 9 after The Colbys was cancelled and vacated Stage 8. )

The sheets are "used" only in the sense of having been used once for reference, and then stored. There are a few dings on some edges, but hey that's just a patina. No creases from folding (that's just the photocopy)! Will be shipped rolled.
